Yesterday, my advanced pottery class ventured forth on the 1 hour trek to Manhattan. We visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art to find references for our next project, which is inspired by Ancient Greek or Roman ceramics. I have been to the Met before, but for some reason this time was so much better. My best friend ColourTheSkyy and I got lost and ended up in the complete opposite side of the Museum. Normally, getting lost in a museum is no problem, but finding our way back was difficult since a lot of areas were closed off for exhibits being put up.. leaving our map useless. Just standing next to Still life with Banderillas and Still life with a Bottle of Rum.. was glorious. Touching Andy Warhol's work, I can not even describe how that feels. If you have not been there, please go. Especially after your journey as an artist begins. Don't forget to do some life imitating art, either.

I've finally found my place.

Hello starshine, the earth says, "hello!"

It's snow snow snowing heree<3 and I'm awake, and even though it's not as early as I'd like, I still feel like the rest of the world is asleep. That is one of my most favourite feelings. To be awake, but still sleepy, and to think you're the onlyyyy person awake. I mean of course I'm not, but it's still fun to imagine.
My room is torn apart right now, packing for sr.trip to the poconos, and I do not fancy putting it back together just yet.

I have not shot one picture every day this year so far, but I'm still trying, and I think that will have to be good enough. It is especially difficult with a lack of willing models. Since my gallery is already saturated with Heather(:devcolourtheskyy), I'm hoping to get another person who also loves modeling for me.

I hope all is well, and your days are bright. Thanks for the love on my newer photos, I'm more proud of recent work, I think I just may be getting better.

I've finally found my place.

Merry Christmas, Happy New year!

So today I decided to put one of my Christmas presents to good use, and finally buy myself a subscription. I was hoping someone would buy me one for Christmas, but no one reads lists.

Aedan, my Xsi is doing great. He's really all I could ask for in a digital camera, especially since I'm more fond of film.

Unfortunately, my small lens broke. It wasn't anything special, but it came with my 35mm rebel GII. 18-55mm. I'm having a lot of trouble one I like as there's really no camera stores here, and I don't feel like going to B n H. But I've got other lenses, so still, not such a tragedy.

I'm on a search for slightly expired Polaroid film, or any if I can get my hands on it.


New Years Resolutions(Art Related)
-Shoot at least one photo every day.
-Go on a shoot with TrappedChild
-Go on a shoot with ColourTheSkyy
-Start drawing and painting again.
-post pictures of my ceramics projects.
-Buy a Holga or Yashica-D.
